One of the most special rings to adorn our shop. An Edwardian platinum ring featuring as a centre stone a true gift of nature.
A natural Padparadascha Sapphire weighing 3.3cts approx with a delicate coral pink colour with hues of light orange depending on the light. Certified and lab tested, this is a Ceylon Sapphire (Sri Lanka) with no indications of heat treatment.
The sapphire has an oval shaped stone of perfect clarity with no inclusions to the naked eye.
The two kite-shaped diamonds adorning the shoulders are of a VS – S1 clarity and estimated G-H colour. Finishing off this explosion of brilliance, is gallery of intricate design and studed with delicate rose cut diamonds. The platinum band is in great condition for its age and is a UK size M.
Padparadscha was named from the Sanskrit/Singhalesepadmaraga, a color akin to the lotus flower (Nelumbo Nucifera ‘Speciosa’). The padparadscha is considered amongst the rarest and most valuable of all the sapphire varieties.
More recently, this beautiful stone has gained a new wave of interest following the engagement ring of Princess Eugenie of York.
A one of a kind beautiful piece of jewellery looking for a new chapter in history. Let it be yours!
Ring will be dispatched via secure mail and will be presented in our luxury ring box (last picture).
